1. Admission to hostel is not automatic. Students desirous of seeking admission to the hostel should apply well before the commencement of the academic year. Admission is strictly restricted only to those who agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the hostel from time to time.
  2. The student is expected not to indulge in any undesirable activity thereby causing disturbance to the smooth functioning of the hostel.
  3. Students residing in the hostel in the term preceding the one which admission is sought are ordinarily given preference when allotting the rooms, provided their conduct, character and behavior in the hostel in the previous period are found satisfactory.
  4. In case of serious illness or infectious diseases a student may be asked to leave the hostel to stay with the Local Guardians / Residence.
  5. Students are not allowed to stay in the rooms between 8.45 a.m. and 5.00 pm. on all working days. Permission to be obtained in writing for any reasons to stay back in the hostel during working hours.
  6. The study hour in the hostel is from 8.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. on all days. During the study hours, the students are expected to stay in their rooms and keep their doors open. They should avoid use of mobile phones, chatting and roaming during the study hours.
  7. Attendance will be taken by the Deputy Warden during the study hour.
  8. Hostel students should be as economical as possible with the use of water and electricity. Students should switch off the light and fan when not in use, else penalty will be levied.
  9. Students are not permitted to use any other electrical equipment like Heaters, Iron Box, etc.
  10. Students are not permitted to use tape-recorder with speakers. If found they will be impounded by Warden / Deputy Warden. However, they are permitted to use music gadgets with head phones.
  11. The inmates of the hostel are not permitted to use two wheelers. Any violation will lead to expulsion from hostel and disciplinary action.
  12. Students will be held responsible for the damage to the room property (i.e.) fan, furniture, fittings and fixtures etc provided. They will be held responsible for any breakages, repair or loss caused to hostel and mess property.  In all such cases the students will have to pay the cost of such damages as fixed by the hostel in-charge/administration.
  13. No day scholars, visitors/guests will be allowed to visit the hostel without prior permission of the Warden / Hostel in-charge. Any student found to violate these rules will be expelled from the hostel immediately by Warden / Deputy Warden without notice and no hostel accommodation will be considered till he/she completion of the course.
  14. Tampering with electrical wiring or fixing any electrical lightings or other fittings in rooms and common areas will be viewed very seriously and those involved will be expelled from the hostel without notice and penalty also livable.
  15. Students are not permitted to keep costly mobiles, gold jewelry, expensive things & cash with them. The institute will not be responsible for their loss, theft or damage.
  16. Students are not permitted to stick posters/ formula/pictures of any type (including God and Goddess) / painting / drawing or writing on the hostel walls.
  17. Students will be permitted to go to their native place only after obtaining permission from the warden by filling in the prescribed form which is available with the Warden.
  18. In Girls hostel, the students are allowed to go home only with their parents or guardians permission.
  19. Students going to their hometown or outing should make the entry in the “In and Out Register” available at the hostel.
  20. All the students going for outing should get permission from the warden well in advance and return to the hostel before 7.30 p.m. on all working days. During holidays it will be decided by Warden / Deputy Warden.
  21. The hostel fee collected at the beginning of the year is for the complete academic year. In case of any student leaving the hostel on his own or expelled from the hostel in the middle, the fee will not be refunded on any account.
  22. Rooms must be vacated immediately after the institution closes for vacation. Rooms should be maintained in a clean and tidy condition and open for inspection at all times Students cannot claim to stay in the hostel during vacation period. Permission may be given for such a stay in any special case by the Principal / Warden on the written request by the student.
  23. Student crossing the main gate for any purpose should keep the finger print available at the security office.
  24. Mobile phones are allowed in both boys and girls hostels but any misuse will lead to stringent action.
  25. In girls hostel the students can use mobile phones from 05.30 p.m. 08.15 p.m. on all working days, and during holidays it is permitted from 08.00 a.m. to 08.15 p.m.
  26. Smoking or use of liquor or any other intoxicant or playing cards is strictly prohibited. Any violation will lead to stringent disciplinary action.
  27. Management has all rights to expel the student if they are indulging in any in-disciplinary activities / misbehavior in any manner or not abiding by the hostel rules & regulations.
  28. Ragging is a crime and will attract police action. Ragging / Harassment / Quarrels / Misbehavior / Speech / Embarrassment in the hostels will be viewed very seriously. Hence it is advised to abstain from all such anti- social activities.
